Congratulations to our Candidate Lauryn for fighting hard during her election and as a result winning a seat for the Conservatives!

Lauryn is only 19 years old. Our youngest Councillor now in the chamber. Be sure to follow her on Facebook to keep up to date with everything she gets up to in her new role.

A by-election for the Abbey North Ward seat on Daventry District Council was held on Thursday 24 October. 

The results are as follows:

(Labour Party): 262 votes

(Conservative Party): 376 votes Elected

(Liberal Democrats): 280 votes

Number of ballots rejected: 12

Electorate: 5293

Ballot papers issued: 930

Turnout: 17.57%
